Principle
Ring and puck pulverizers consist of two important parts: the ring and the puck. The ring is a fixed part made of hardened steel, and the puck is also made of steel. A predetermined amount of material is placed into the cavity of the ring and the puck is placed on top of the sample inside the ring. The entire assembly is then subjected to mechanical vibration or shock, and the puck rotates and moves in a circular motion while pressing against the material. This action causes the sample to be crushed and ground into a fine powder. After the pulverization process is completed, the powdered finished product is collected from the cavity of the ring and puck assembly.
